What Would Jesus Do?

He'd probably celebrate his birthday in Florida. Today was 78 and sunny. This picture was taken at sunset at the Ford-Edison Estate. Note the Christmas tree in the lower right hand corner.

Goodbye Original Sin...Hello Catholic Guilt

Today, Ava was welcomed into the Catholic faith. She was very well behaved during the mass and seemed very interested in what was occuring. Margret and I now have a new tool in our parenting arsenal...catholic guilt. While impossible for non-Catholics to understand, it is one of the most powerful forces known to man. It prevents you from spending frivously (you already have 1 pair of shoes), from throwing anything out (you never know when you you might need it), from enjoying sleeping in on a Sunday (even if you didn't go to church you will feel bad about it all day), or putting you parents in a nursing home (you might as well accept they'll be living in your spare bedroom).

Pretty much it makes you feel bad anytime anything good happens to you...but you get into Heaven...at which point you feel bad for all your non-Catholic friends.

We Need a Little Christmas

Being the good parents that we are, Andy and I dressed Ava up in her Christmas outfit and took her to see Santa Claus for the first time. Despite a slight set back of losing a shoe, Ava was all smiles when she sat on Santa's lap. She has been such a good girl, I bet Santa brings her lots of presents!
